The closest village to Quillan is the charmingly- named Ginoles. It was once a separate village – and still is in theory – but with the outward sprawl of Quillan over the years, the housing is almost continuous between town and village.

It’s a short walk from the centre of Quillan to Ginoles, either across fields, or up a small country road.

The field route is part of the way-marked Sentier Cathare.
