Walking

Jennifer’s love of walking began over thirty years ago in the French countryside, when she joined a local walking group while working as a language assistant in Dunkirk. Today, she is a seasoned pilgrim who has turned personal challenges into an inspiring way of life.

Diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease, she walks not just to maintain her health but as a way of navigating life with purpose and joy. Her pilgrimages include the Voie du Puy (2022), the Voie de Vézelay (2023), the 2,400km Via Francigena from Canterbury to Rome (2024), and the Via de la Plata from Seville to Santiago de Compostela (2025). Plans are already underway for her next journey—walking 1,500km from Vézelay to Assisi on the Chemin d’Assise. and she hopes to walk from Rome to Santiago in 2027.
